Life Science is a middle school core course needed to provide thorough preparation in the high school sciences. Students are expected to master essential skills and acquire essential knowledge as identified in the life science curriculum and the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL). Passing a standardized test at the end of the 8th grade year with a score of 400 or better proves mastery of essential skills and knowledge.

- maintain an interactive science notebook
- participate in cooperative group learning
- follow laboratory procedures and complete lab experiments using the scientific method.

*1 Three ring binder with 4 dividers
*2 glue sticks at all times
*2 pencils at all times
*blue or black ink pen at all times
*1 highlighter at all times
*Colored pencils or crayons
*Pencil pouch for supplies
*School Agenda
